    Entering the hous

I have a problem I have never been able to solve. My dogs will sit or do whatever I ask before I let them into the house, but once I open that door, even if I then make them sit again or pause, once they get inside the house, the two take off and play, chasing each other. I can't stop them with any physical move so I end up having to command, which they will respond to but not until after they've done the chasing game for a minute or so. Any ideas?

I say it's no big deal. Let them show their joy.

Why is this something you'd like to fix? Is it just their lack of control that you do not like?

Is it that you want to wipe them down after a muddy walk or do they get too boisterous and knock things over in their excitement? It isn't a problem that I have had to deal with, but could you perhaps let one go in first and keep the other dog with you for a minute or two.

Because they get pretty aggressive with each other at that one point and I don't want them running into me and knocking me over. Just, that is what they do, only then it's the dare of "are you going to get by me?" lol

It sounds like excitement and just being full of energy but perhaps it has become a habit, but I understand that it is causing a problem. I think you need to break the habit, perhaps by putting one dog into the house a minute or two before the other one, or perhaps by leaving them to play in the garden for a few minutes after their walk.

Wanda, I agree with you completely but I think the article you are talking about is over on the main page. This forum is independent of the main page and no one here has any control over what is printed there.
