    Chase Game - FRUSTRATED

Ok, Gunner is playing the chase game. He just turned 6 months and I assume he is testing me..when I put him in a stay, he obeys 90% of the time...but when I go to him he will get the zoomies (run around like a maniac) and he has started to run when he has a toy or his bumper. When I recall him he just looks at me...when I approach he runs. I have tried to turn the other way, pretend i have something really intersting, etc.....any tips?

    Thanks.

Unfortunately he has learned the "catch me if you can" game. Problem is they win that game every time. It's really fun for them. Try turning around and walking away from him when he doesn't come. Under no circumstances (except safety) do you enter into this game with him. If he doesn't come to you when you walk away, try running away from him.

Work "stay" on leash for now, and at a very short distance, for a short time. Make the game impossible for him. We want you both to be successful. When you begin to increase the distance, work on a long line.
