So many issues

To start my dog Miya is about three years old, I got her from some crackhead who wanted to sell her to "the first ni***r on the street and they can use her as a bait dog or to have more fighting dogs." She abused, underweight, the whole nine yards. She clings to be, has separation anxiety, so I'm admit I baby her.
My mom also treats her differently than her two dogs, she treats Miya likes she's the worst dog in the world and hers do no wrong. Yes Miya has issues with listening and training, but I've tried and have made progress only for the other people in the house to not go along with it for more than a day..

The other two are best friends even though Miya and the other female lived together as little puppies with the crackhead.. they team up on her. The bite her, a lot, so when she defends herself my mom freaks out on her yelling shes going to give her to the pound and such.

Anyway, when it's just Miya in the yard she doesn't care about the neighbors dogs, but throw in the other two and all hell breaks loose. Finally get the other two inside the house and Miya thinks you trying to get her is a game. She'll dodge you for hours -_-

How can I get her to listen better/come when I call? Even with chaos around her..

Hello, I hope Bill will come along to give you some advice re training. I think the first thing you need to do is to come to an agreement with your family members about how to deal with all three dogs and about the need to be consistent in the way that the dogs are treated. It will be hard because your dog has issues, but if you all work together I am sure you can achieve a good outcome.

With Miya's history, she may never be a normal dog BUT your biggest problem is not Miya, its family. Get the family problem solved and the rest won't be all that difficult. To get her to come to you, stop chasing her. That is a game to her and its a game she can win everytime. Sit down on the ground with some treats and call her to you. Praise her lavishly and give her great treats when she does come to you. After she will come to you while you are sitting down, then try standing but bending at the waist to make yourself short. Gradually you should be able to get her to come when you are standing. You need to do this in a distraction free environment. Gradually build up the destractions over time. It is very difficult if not impossible to teach a dog anything with a lot of distractions around you. Let her learn that everytime you call her and she goes to you, something good will happen.

Learn to get her attention by just calling her name. When she looks at you, give her a treat. Do this over and over and she will get to the point that everytime she hears her name, she will stop what she's doing and look at you.

I've tried to get them on board, they will stick with it for maybe two days and then say "It's not working, there's no point"
Obviously it's going to take more than a few days for her to stick with what I'm trying to teach her..
And she (my mom) refuses to try to get her dogs to act better because they're 'perfect' -_-

You definitely can't give her mixed signals. Dogs need steady guidance.

I do try to stay on track with what I am trying to teach her. Yes I 'baby' her at times, but I mean how would you feel if you were being treated like garbage and your brother and sister were treated like royalty :/ Yeah, she is going to rebel against my mom..
I feel bad. And sometimes I wonder if she would be better off in a house just by herself.. but she is honestly the only reason I'm still alive (not trying to get all emotional or sappy.) and I could never see myself giving her up. No one could love her the way I do.

Is there any way that you can keep your dog away from your mum's? I understand that you love your dog too and I am sure that you love your mum, she is probably a source of support to you in lots of ways but in this case she is not helping the situation. All I can suggest is that you put in as much time alone with your dog as you possibly can and perhaps that you consider joining some classes. I really hope you find a way to sort this out.

My mom's male bit Miya's ear today. Went right through :( When I saw the blood I freaked out, and my mom tells me I'm being over dramatic! She comes over, see Miya's ear and starts making excuses that go from, he didn't mean it- that hole doesn't even look like it's from a tooth! it looks like its from the fence...
I saw him bite her :/ Ugh

Miya is usually where ever I am. But after being in my room for a while, when I go to take a shower she will roam the house for a few minutes, then lay in the hall between the restroom and my bedroom.
I'm looking into moving within the next two months, so hopefully that works out and I won't have to worry about finding her bleeding anymore.

It sounds as if moving may be the best option but you need to think about what is best for you as well as what is best for your dog. Good luck.

How is her ear? Keep an eye on it to make sure that it is healing well and that it doesn't get infected.

He ear looks to be healing fine. She hasn't tried to scratch it, and I'm keeping it clean. Thank you for caring!

Been away a couple of days and getting cought up...

I have been just were you are SammRose....I didn't like it anymore than you do it's stressful and difficult at best.

If you can, get out on your own, but until you can.... My dog was a senior, my life, and family's dogs were mean and nasty no manners beastys (just like my sister :rolleyes: ) My dog stayed were I was..in the bedroom, bathroom, leashed "outside" the yard with me. I read, studied, ate my dinner in my room with my dog. It was hard on both of us but it had to be done. If I was at work he stayed in my room until I came home and then we went "outside" the yard away from 'others'. Family had NO reason to deal with my dog, so teaching and working with him was just about us, no interference.

I wish you and Miya the best, when it's all over, you will both be the better from it ~ stronger.

You need a crate for her. That can be her safe spot, when you cannot watch her. It keeps the other dogs out, and she has a place where she can relax. Tell your family to not touch the crate and leave her alone.

I actually cannot use a crate with her. It represents hell to her. The person(s) who had her as a puppy kept her in a crate with the other female, never cleaned it. She has black dots on her belly that we believe to be stains imbedded from having to live in waste. The crate was kept outside in the heat with two heavy moving blankets over it.
Ive tried a few times to get her use to crates.. no luck. She flips out at the sight of one in the pet store.

If you can't use a crate, or de-sensitise her to one, then how about a dog playpen. usually made from the same sort of material as a crate, more room, no top on it, and can be made the size you want. It will also fold away when not in use, and probably easier to do this than a crate. Try feeding/playing with her in the enclosure, before you actually have to leave her in there for any length of time. Like anything new dogs have to get used to these things graudally, and usually using really tasty treats to do this, will help.

A playpen is the one "cage" she can stand, she is use to it form having ten puppies (My brothers amazing idea, so he could make money -_- first and only heat, which was timed literally the day she was suppose to get fixed :/ Just her luck) But anyway, my mom let a family friend "borrow" it because she refuses to get her dogs fixed and they are always having puppies.. :( But I've talked to a neighbor who is going to let me keep Miya in her back yard/back patio so when I get a job Miya will be safe away from my moms dogs

That is a kind offer from your neighbour. Look at the local adverts for a dog cage, my mum managed to find on that way, it didn't cost her very much at all.
