We have finally got our approx 10 month old dobie we adopted under some control. I have taught her sit, down, stay and come commands in the house. My problem now is that I cannot get or keep her attention on me for any of these commands outside. Doe anyone have any suggestions for getting her to pay attention. I always wait till she has played and wore herself out first. I also carry kibble with me, which has helped slighty. thank you
Learn to get her attention inside first. It should be the first thing you teach. Teach her to look at you everytime she hears her name. It's pretty easy to teach while inside. After she is good at it, take it outside in low distraction areas first and while very close to her. Gradually increase distance and amount of distractions.

How do you teach her to look at you everytime?
Call her name ... when she looks at you give her a treat and praise lavishly. She will catch on quickly. Start off in a distraction free environment then gradually increase distractions. Use a treat with more value than kibble.
