3mth puppy unreponsive

Hi this is my first dog and its a 3mth old Chihuahua puppy.

I've housed the puppy in a cage and always left the door open unless its time to sleep or when no one is around.
"he" knows how to walk in and out of the cage by itself.

Its been a week since I've brought it into my home. It already knows its sleeping place, other than that, everywhere else is the toilet and doesn't know where the food is.

I'm having trouble getting the dog to respond to anything. Toys, calls, sounds, etc..
All it does is just look up and then look away. A few more times and it wouldn't bother looking.

The only times its active is in the morning right after we clean the poop. It would get out of the cage and run around for awhile until some other member of the family appears, then it would slowly move around and run back into the cage and lie there.

It doesn't respond to its name neither does commands.
