walking my dog

I have a cavalier king charles, he is a very loving dog and can be very energetic at times, when a puppy he was fine with other dogs and just wanted to play with any dog we came across on a walk. I had my dog castrated a month ago but Now he seems to have got worse with other dogs and appears to go abit mad when coming across one, the first couple of seconds is okay but as soon as I move on from the dog he growls, snowls, barks pulls on the lead ect, walking him now im at ease coming across another dog. How could I prevent any of this happening coming across another dog?

Hi, I got the same problem with my blue heeler, he has so much energy! The veterinary advised me to buy him a Martingale (collar) , we been using it like for 2 weeks, apparently it worked for us a bit, he is no longer pulling that hard.

There are many reasons why a dog may act aggressively toward another dogs.

He may be afraid.
He may be stressed because his space is being violated.
He may feel the need to dominate.
He may be protective of us.
He may be very curious.
He may just be over-excited.
