    Dog protectiveness

I really love the bond that develops between dogs and babies. When I was younger, a next door neighbor had a baby and their dog was so protective of the infant. I remember him hearing sounds and the first thing he'd do is run into the nursery, check on the baby, and then go towards the sound. It was awesome.
