\n Cesar breaks his silence on claims of animal abuse while taping an episode for Cesar 911. The famous dog trainer sticks by his methods and believes the incident is being blown out of proportion.
\n
\n Last week, we told you that Cesar Millan was being investigated by Los Angeles County Animal Control over animal abuse allegations. It all stems from a clip from a recent episode of his show Cesar 911. In the clip, you can see a French Bulldog/Boston Terrier mix attack and bite a pig, resulting in a bloody ear.
\n
\nThe self-taught dog trainer and TV star is speaking out over claims that he used the pigs as bait for Simon, a dog who had a past of attacking pigs. Millan says the investigation and allegations are unfounded, and that opponents of his methods are blowing the incident out of proportion.
\n
\nIn an interview with People magazine, Cesar states that while he understands why people are upset, he says that there was no crime.
\n
\n“This is what I love about America,” he said. “In America, animals have rights to a certain extent. And when somebody complains about it the law enforcement have to come and supervise. They do it to everybody and they’re doing the right thing.”
\n
\nAnd Sandy, the owner of Simon, is also backing Cesar on the issue. She says that meeting Millan was the best thing that’s happened to her and Simon, and she’s grateful for all his help.
\n
\n“I feel so blessed to have had Cesar’s help and it upsets me profoundly that people have mischaracterized what really happened,” says Sandy. “I have a brand new life with Simon and having Cesar’s help made the difference. It’s the best thing that ever happened to Simon and I.”

\nNo charges have been laid at this time, but we’ll keep you posted on any developments.
