I wish I could take her with, but is it not even an option. She does have separation anxiety and I\'ve gone away for abroad for vacation for a month before and all she did was sit by the window watching for me and sighing almost the entire time and barely eat. I\'m afraid of her reaction when I won\'t be able to come back for 6-8 months. Any tips on best way to help transition her to my leaving this time?<!-' + '- google_ad_section_end -' + '-><!-' + '- AMS FIRST IN POST -' + '->\r\n

    leaving for college

Helllo. So I'm leaving for college across the country and I'm the one that my dog has bonded with the most. I wish I could take her with, but is it not even an option. She does have separation anxiety and I've gone away for abroad for vacation for a month before and all she did was sit by the window watching for me and sighing almost the entire time and barely eat. I'm afraid of her reaction when I won't be able to come back for 6-8 months. Any tips on best way to help transition her to my leaving this time?
