If you have specific times to feed, dogs will start bugging you as the time draws near because they know food is on the way. Also many dogs will have what is known as hunger pukes if they are expecting a meal at a specific time and its late getting there. What happens is that dogs, thinking that food is eminent, will start to secret very acidic stomach juices expecting the food to arrive. If it doesn\'t arrive they have all these acids floating around in their stomachs and they need to get rid of it. Therefore they puke it up. Of course, I don\'t really like giving them a set amount per feeding, we\'ve always just done free-feeding I think its called.
