Hi All,
Are dogs able to safety drink from streams - say in a state park or from runoff and puddles on the ground or road.
Nothing obviously contaminated, no sheen, no discoloration.
Thanks in advance.
Of course they can. Don't worry about it. My dogs do all the time.

So, no worries about parasites or disease transmission that would typically harm a human for drinking untreated water?
It's not impossible for them to get them but I don't worry about it. If they do, its off to the vet for a treatment and then no problem. Mine never have gotten anything after years of drinking puddle water.
