While there were very few years a dog wasn't in our house, it wasn't until 2005 that I truly became a "dog person" when Lulu, a husky-GSD, entered my life. Soon after, we became intimately aware of all that can go wrong when you walk into the SPCA "on a whim." But it was the best thing that's ever happened to me (other than marriage and all that human stuff). To wit: Lulu is Short for Lucifer
Look forward to learning even more about dogs and training here!
Hi Dave!! Lulu looks like a sweetheart and I read your article, you guys have been through quite a bit. It takes a strong person with a big heart to keep a dog with a little aggression and work with them. I worked as a humane officer for awhile and you wouldn't even believe the amount of people who would bring their dogs in or brin them back because they were aggressive. It's like you said you have to research your lifestyle as well as the breed. I have a purebred GSD ad a chow/terrier mix both are very active, so you guessed it the three of us are out every morning walking 8 miles before breakfast time. Look forward to hearing more adventures with Lulu here!
