I have just joined and I am looking forward to using the Forums. I adopted a lovely little dog called Lucy two years ago, she is a cross between a border collie and a Shih Tzu, it is an odd combination but she is a very special dog. She had been badly treated and it has taken a long time for her to relax and enjoy life.

Hi there, how lovely that you took on a rescue, poor little thing, sounds like she had the most awful start in life, but I am so glad so has gotten through it and is now able to enjoy her life with you. I would love to see some pictures of Lucy sometime, she does sound like a very interesting combination.

Sometimes the rescued animals make the best pets. Nice to meet you.

Yes Stephanie she is an unusual combination, probably one that shouldn't really have happened as I would think it could be dangerous for the mother to have puppies by a much larger breed of dog. Lucy looks more like a Shih Tzu but she has more of a border collie character. When I work out how to do it I will add some pictures.
