Hi, I have a 8 month old part beagle, named Belle, who I am still having potty issues with. I also have a 4 year old mixed lab, who gives me no trouble about going out. We live in an apt. We I take them out, the lab is not on a lease, so she will go to her "spot" and take care of her business. Belle is on a lease because of running off, 9 out of 10 times she will pee, but I can't get her to poop outside. I was keeping a potty pad down and she would go on it. But in the last couple of weeks she has started going on poop on my bed, which she sleeps in too. I have taken her to it and told her "NO", I have put her in the bathroom one night with a gate up, so she could sleep in the bed. But still having issue. If I close off the bedroom where she can't get in, then she will go on the couch. I am getting to the end of my rope with her. Please any help is needed. Thanks
Beagles tend to be a little more stubborn w/ house training that most breeds. They are also more likely to run off when off leash. Remember they are bred to be out hunting on their own away from the owner. Just be patient and do what you are doing.
