\r\n <!-' + '- google_ad_section_start -' + '->Hi all! My boyfriend and I rescued a female puppy about 2 months ago, she is now 6 months old. We were told originally that she was a lab mix (because she had a black coat and webbed paws) but as she grows we, and the vet!, are pretty certain she is almost purebred German Shorthaired Pointer. Will let you know the results of the genetic tests in the next few weeks.

\r\nAnywho, Stitches has been a very good girl so far - house broken, comes when called, sit, down, etc. I had never even heard of GSPs before we got Stitches, I grew up with boxers and my boyfriend with labs, so we are working on figuring out the breed. Walking on a leash is quite the challenge if she is to see a bird or a squirrel. She goes into full point and distracting her from this is borderline impossible. We live in an apartment in the city so the pigeons are terrified and so far this spring she has caught 2 frogs and a poor little bird when we are up at my boyfriend\'s lake house on weekends.

\r\nAnyone have advice on raising a GSP? She is good at chasing instinctually, especially things that fly like frisbees, but the retrieval process is a tad more difficult. We want to work on retrieving with her on land and in the water to get her running/swimming<!-' + '- google_ad_section_end -' + '-><!-' + '- AMS FIRST IN POST -' + '->\r\n
