going to pull my dog from formal obedience. He is not happy with it and will just continue to train him in dancing and learning the ropes of service dog - mobile like his sister. That is of more help to me where I have a balance problem and the harness helps me to get over the rough parts of the hikes we take. I trained her to this.

I would tell him that it is wrong plain and simple. He should be training the dog not to touch and he should provide it with plenty of toys to chew. If you had a toddler in the house you would put...

What you describe sounds fairly normal, they get along and know how far to push each other but just occasionally the female dog makes a point when the male dog pushes her too far. It sounds as if...

I wouldn't encourage my children and my dog to share food, but I wouldn't freak out if it happened accidentally. My grandma used to say 'you have to eat a peck of dirt before you die' in other words...

Well said! I wonder why people like that get a dog in the first place if they can't put in the time to train a puppy.

Syn, I don't think I have ever met a stupid dog, a few naughty ones and one or two troubled or damaged ones, but not stupid ones. However I have met more than a few stupid dog owners, it just makes...

Maybe I sounded a bit cynical, I am sure most dog clubs are great but I have just had one or two bad experiences. To me having a dog in my life should be (and is) a pleasure and without proper...

Hi Deborah. Is the dog still in pain and perhaps afraid of the pain involved in doing her business? Perhaps you should get the vet to check her over.
