McTavish was the most unusual name I've come across personally. He was an adorable border collie who belonged to the family next door,.
My brother named his last dog "Nuts"
My one of my brother's dogs is called Daisy Duke, it is funny to hear my little nephew talking about her and always using her full name.

Other than that, I don't think we've come across any weird names. Unless you want to count our pets. We have a Siamese cat named Blazer, a gray tabby named Snake, a black cat named Fred, another black cat named Professor, & a black kitten named Topaz. Yeah, don't let kids name animals! LOL
I heard about a cat called Calvin the other day, why ever would you call a cat Calvin?
Kernow I would not pick to call a cat Calvin.

how about Hamburger? I know of someone that just named their dog this.
Why would anyone call their dog Hamburger, it would be embarrassing to have to shout the dogs name at the park when you wanted him to come back.
Judging by some of the ridiculous names that people give to their children, there is little hope of getting them to choose sensible names for their pets.Quote:

I guess it is up to the individual, but people should remember that names last for a long time, needs to suit the adult dog not just the cute little puppy.
