    FURminator

I have been reading alot of articles about the furmnator that contradict each other. SO lets try to put this to rest. Does the furminator cut hair or help remove undercoat? theres vets and groomers on both sides of this argument idk who to believe.

I didn't know there was any debate on the product? Interesting..... I use one on my collie x, I don't think it cuts his hair, but it does seem to pull an awful lot of hair - more than I used to get out with my slicker brush anyway........

I never knew it to cut the hair. I could be wrong though. I too would like to know.

Well i got brave and bought one! and i used it on my 2 dogs and my friends 2 dogs and it pulled out all the dead loose undercoat that my slicker brush was missing. and it did not cut the hair. I think there is a debate online about it cutting because the blade on the furminator resembles half of the blade on a pair of clippers.

I've only been using one for a month or so but I read all that controversy, too. My experience has been that it does pull from the undercoat. My dog is mostly black on the outer coat and it pulled out a lot of her gray undercoat.

So can you tell a difference in your dog then Orry? Would you say that they are worth it?

I haven't seen any cutting but it certainly gets the hair out. I think it is well worth the money. Without the Furminator, I would need to run the vac everyday.

It really does help. I like that it doesn't have a sharpness to it. The dogs continue to get used to it every time I use it.

My dog loves it. If I pick it up, she comes running and gets on the table without being told.

Mine aren't quite that eager, but they are getting there.
