\r\n <!-' + '- google_ad_section_start -' + '->I have a one year old blue heeler/ Australian shepherd mix. I live in an apartment with two roommates and two other dogs. My dog constantly jumps on people when they enter the house. I have tried positive training where they give him a treat when he sits but they do not keep it up and I have tried a shock collar, but that is only working about 50% of the time because I can\'t keep his collar on constantly. He also barks when he hears people walking up the stairs and won\'t stop. When ever he does get in trouble, we go to grab his harness and he turns and tries to bite us, mainly them though. I need training tips because obviously I\'m not doing anything right. I have owned 7 dogs over my lifetime and this is the first one I\'m having these issues with.<!-' + '- google_ad_section_end -' + '-><!-' + '- AMS FIRST IN POST -' + '->\r\n

    Tons of issues

I have a one year old blue heeler/ Australian shepherd mix. I live in an apartment with two roommates and two other dogs. My dog constantly jumps on people when they enter the house. I have tried positive training where they give him a treat when he sits but they do not keep it up and I have tried a shock collar, but that is only working about 50% of the time because I can't keep his collar on constantly. He also barks when he hears people walking up the stairs and won't stop. When ever he does get in trouble, we go to grab his harness and he turns and tries to bite us, mainly them though. I need training tips because obviously I'm not doing anything right. I have owned 7 dogs over my lifetime and this is the first one I'm having these issues with.
