I've been watching this show where they do surprise homecomings of service men and women. Along with the full segments, they show videos sent in by people. Last night they had a bunch of dog reunions. It was such a hoot. The wives were filming it, and the dogs were just going batty when they were reunited with their soldier. For me, this just reinforces the dogs should never be traded off for any excuse. These dogs had been separated from these guys for at least a year and sometimes more. OH, yeah, they remembered them, and their excitement was unmistakable.
My previous dog used to go potty when we came home after a holiday, he go so excited . My present dog is always pleased to see us when we have been out but much calmer than the previous dog, and we have a cat who sulks for days when we get back from holiday it is as if he is in a mood with us for leaving him.
