I am new to this site, but look forward to meeting many new folks and their furry friends. I am attaching several photos of my furry family member, "Hickory", a 175lb lover whose breed we don't know as he was a mutt adopted by my wife and I over 11 years ago as a puppy. Hickory has been seen by over 3 local vets in our area over the past seven years and to no avail, the infection will get better with a new medicine, but only to return with a vengence a short time later. We are afraid if we don't find a solution to diagnosing what is wrong with him soon, we will be faced with putting him down. He has had over 4 surgeries to remove the infection/nodules/lumps, etc... and taken countless antibiotics that have proven powerless over the infection. Hickory is otherwise--aside from the skin issue--a very happy healthy dog. If you know of any cases or names for this and/or know of any possible cures or treatments or can pass this information along to someone who can help it would be much much appreciated!
