Hello, new doggy living on the Isle of Wight

    Hi everyone,

My name is Rachel and I have just got an 11 week old male puppy. He is called Bertie and his mum's a rottweiler and his dad's a dalmatian/staffordshire bull terrier. He is very loving but also very nippy and excited. In the 5 days we have had him, he's mastered the commands "come". "sit" and "down" really well. He hasn't however mastered the "stop biting" (otherwise called "no") command. Because he was almost 11 weeks when we got him, he hadnt had his vaccinations so he can't yet go out for a good run, even though we have a decent sized garden. His 2nd course is in 2 weeks and we are already booked into puppy classes, mainly for socialization.

Hello Rachel, welcome to the forum. It sound as if Bertie is doing well so far, he must have lots of energy so it will be good when you can take him out.
