\r\nWe recently rescued a puppy, (which the vet now tells us is a Great Dane mix!), and brought him home. Prior to our new puppy, we already had three girl dogs, Toy Fox Terriers. The girls get along with each other exceptionally, other than the occasional squabble over a treat, and they do fine with other dogs in all situations. Unfortunately, one of the girls has become aggressive towards our 5 mos. old puppy. About 75% of the time, when he gets near her she becomes vicious, teeth showing and lots of growling and a little nipping. This little girl is already rather needy, being the middle pup I guess, so we would like to help her get through this stressful situation as easily as possible. She is completely unafraid of the new puppy, even as he now weighs 40 pounds more than her, except when he is extra hyperactive, but I think she is more jealous than anything else. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to break this habit of hers? Things will probably calm down as the puppy gets older, but in the interim, we are afraid our little girl will become a total wreck.

\r\nThe good news is, the new puppy is happy and healthy and doesn’t take offense when growled at by the girls.
