Almost sounds like it could be the name of a tavern or something.

Why would anyone call their dog Hamburger, it would be embarrassing to have to shout the dogs name at the park when you wanted him to come back.

Judging by some of the ridiculous names that people give to their children, there is little hope of getting them to choose sensible names for their pets.

A few years ago in a Country Park, a couple were walking three Bichon Frises. Their coats were all pristine, until one ran off and roled in something disgusting. Only then did I hear what that dog's name was - Bozo, and it wasn't being used in a derogatory way either, it was it's given name. Well I was doubled up with laughter, and thought serve you right for calling your dog that.

I guess it is up to the individual, but people should remember that names last for a long time, needs to suit the adult dog not just the cute little puppy.
