New to the site, I found a 4 wk old puppy with a skull fracture. She survived and is now 9 wks old, healthy and very active. She tries to eat canned food with the other larger dogs, but still is drinking 2 table spoons of stage 2 puppy milk. Any one else ever experience this. I have to coaxe her to drink the milk from a childs medicine spoon that holds 1 tbsp of mlk. She is so busy trying to play that she hardly takes time to eat. Help anyone.

She is old enough to be taken off the milk. She no longer needs it. Playing is something puppies do. They eat, poop, play and sleep. Thats their entire life. If she's not wanting to take time to eat, she isn't hungry. Feed her less and less often. If she is hungry, she will stop playing and eat.

She is a very lucky little puppy to have been rescued by you. As Bill said if she is healthy she will eat when she is ready. Just as with children ry not to let food become an issue, the more you fuss about getting your dog to eat the more fussy your dog will become.
