I have chatted about several names as well with my fiancee. We just know when the right name pops in to our heads.

Dandy's mother is a teeny (27lbs) purebred border collie. Now, either his father is the overlarge (about 60lbs) purebred male bordie that also lives on the farm and Dandy and his sister are throwbacks; or else a tall, dark, and clearly handsome stranger climbed in the window one night with a rose between his teeth. out of a litter of 11 (!), 9 were teeny-tiny perfect little black-and-white border collies and then there was Dandy and the only female, three times the size of the others and looking like 2 crows in the nest.

    who cares.

he was a nippy little sod when i got him as a rescue - the Feet Thing - so i named him "Dandelion", which is from the French "Dent de Lion", meaning "Lion's Tooth". Dandy is perfect for him, what with his trout-spotted tuxedo markings and his "i'm all that and a bag of cow chips" attitude.

    My dog is a Maltese

The minute I saw her, the first thing I noticed was her large black eyes that looked just like buttons against her snowy coat. It's perfect for her.
