Two puppies, same crate or individual?

We will soon be bringing home two female Sheltie's. I'm wondering whether they should have their own homes immediately, or if being together would make the transition easier?

It is imperative that they have their own independent dog crates. Because dog is a territorially strong animal. In the beginning, you can put two dog crates in an adjacent position to keep your two dogs intimate.
